In order to have an internship at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), we require that students need to be part of a student exchange agreement between their University College and UiT the Arctic University of Norway

Student exchange in medicine

The Faculty of Health Sciences has a close collaboration with the University Hospital of North Norway. Every semester, medical exhange students come to the University Hospital for clinical rotations

Erasmus+ exchange at the University Hospital of Northern Norway

The University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN) is a hospital, not a university per definition. We are therefore not part of the Erasmus + exchange program. The Artic University of Norway is our co-partner in health education and part of the Erasmus + exchange program. In order to have an internship at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) as a part of the Erasmus + exchange program, we require that students need to be part of a Erasmus + exchange program between their University College and UiT the Arctic University of Norway. Additional information about postgraduate medical education

The Artic University of Norway, our co-partner in health education, do not offer postgraduate medical education. In Norway, medical graduates gain access to postgraduate medical education through employment in hospitals or primary care institutions. Employment as a postgraduate in medicine at UNN require, among other things, that you are fluent in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
