Mammografi

Mammografi er en røntgenundersøkelse av brystene hvor vi ser etter eventuelle forandringer i brystvevet.

Mammografiprogrammet

Kvinner i alderen 50 - 69 år automatisk blir invitert Mammografiprogrammet hvert andre år. Hensikten her er å oppdage brystkreft i et tidlig stadium.

Selv om Mammografiprogrammet har aldersgruppen 50-69 år som målgruppe, er det verdt å merke seg at noen kvinner kan være 51- 53 år før de får sin første invitasjon til Mammografiprogrammet, men alle får 10 invitasjoner.

Innkalling til time 

Etter at vi har mottatt en henvisning, vil du få informasjon om time til undersøkelse, eventuelt informasjon om avvising av henvisningen.

 

Sjekkliste for henvisning – elektiv mammografi

Før

Du bør ikkje bruke deodorant, parfyme, pudder eller krem av noko slag i armhola eller på/under brysta den dagen du skal til undersøking. Dette kan påverke bileta og gjere vurderinga av bileta vanskeleg.

Sett av god tid undersøkingsdagen. Det er vårt mål å få gjort alle nødvendige undersøkingar på same dag og dette kan ta inntil 2–3 timar.

For mammografiprogrammet

Ein radiograf vil stille deg nokre spørsmål før sjølve undersøkinga og sjå etter forandringar i huda på brysta som kan bli synlege på mammografibileta. Dette er informasjon som røntgenlegen bruker når han granskar bileta.

Under

Sjølve røntgenundersøkinga tek berre nokre få minutt. Brystet blir plassert på ei plate, og ei øvre plate blir senka ned og legg press på brystet for å gjere røntgenbiletet skarpt og redusere stråledosen. Nokre kvinner synest dette er ubehagelig, men det varer berre nokre få sekund.

Ut i frå kva som er årsaka til at du skal til mammografi, er gjennomføringa av undersøkinga slik:

  • Når du er tilvist til mammografi på grunn av eit symptom frå brysta tar vi to bilete av kvart bryst, og eventuelt tilleggsbilete. Vi tar også ein ultralyd/vevsprøve viss røntgenlegen meiner det er nødvendig.
  • Når du er tilvist som ledd i kontroll etter gjennomgått brystkreft eller ved familiær risiko for brystkreft tar vi to bilete av kvart bryst. Vi tar også her ein ultralyd/vevsprøve viss røntgenlegen meiner det er nødvendig.
  • Ved undersøking etter invitasjon i Mammografiprogrammet tar vi to bilete av kvart bryst.

Etter

Du kan reise heim etter undersøkinga. Dersom du er tilvist til mammografi blir svaret på undersøkinga sendt til tilvisande lege.

Mammografiscreening

Ca. 3% av kvinnene som kjem til mammografiscreening blir innkalla til ei etterundersøking med tilleggsbilete. Då tar ein ofte ei ultralydundersøking også. Å bli innkalla til etterundersøking betyr ikkje at ein har brystkreft. Kun ca. 20% av dei etterinnkalla har brystkreft.

Svaret på mammografiscreening blir kun sendt til deg.

    By Bus

    If you are coming to Breivika from Tromsø city centre, the easiest option is to take bus number 20 or 21 from Fredrik Langes gate. This bus journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

    When you enter through the main entrance from the bus stop, you will be in wing A, level 6. The reception is located to your right.

    Are you coming from Narvik?

    The Health Express runs from Narvik to Tromsø. Individuals who have been referred for travel due to health reasons can use the Health Express.

    Otherwise, there is a regular bus service. Take regional bus 100. It is recommended to use the journey planner for Troms County Traffic (Svipper). 

    Are you arriving by express boat?

    There is a bus from the harbour terminal. Bus number 21 departs at approximately 10:18.

    From the Airport

    It is recommended to use the journey planner for Troms County Traffic (Svipper). Search for Tromsø Airport and UNN to receive travel suggestions.

    If you are travelling from Tromsø, it is easiest to purchase a ticket via Svipper.

    By Taxi

    You can also take a taxi if you have arranged this with Patient Travel. The taxi stops outside the main entrance.

    By Private Car

    Patients and relatives should use the main entrance. Parking is available above the hospital or directly north of the clinical PET centre (green building).

    If you have received treatment, you can apply for financial support for your journey. If you require arranged transport to attend treatment, you may be entitled to a requisitioned travel.

    As you proceed further into the hospital, you will reach wings B, C, and finally D. There are signs by the lifts indicating which wing and floor you are on (for example, B6).

    ​​Sykehusapotek Nord har utsalg vis a vis Narvesen-kiosken på sykehuset i Tromsø. Der får du kjøpt hygieneartikler og medisiner på e-resept. Husk legitimasjon med bilde når du skal hente legemidler på resept.​​​

    Apoteket ligger i A-fløya, plan 6. Ta til høyre når du kommer inn hovedinngangen.

    Om du skal besøke noen på en sengepost kan det være lurt om du ringer til avdelinga først og sjekker om de har noen innlagt som er veldig allergiske.

    The hospital café Evert is located in wing C, level 3. You can also go to wing D and take the lift to level 3. The hospital café Evert is open for both patients and staff from 9 am to 3 pm. There you can purchase hot and cold food and drinks. The café has plenty of seating.

    At the main entrance in wing A, level 6, there is a Narvesen kiosk. Turn right when you enter the main entrance, or left in the vestibule if you are coming from one of the departments.

    In the kiosk, you can purchase simple kiosk food, drinks, and reading material. The kiosk also offers betting.

    ​​Kulturseksjonen i UNN arrangerer jevnlig lunsjkonserter på Pingvinen Scene ved hovedinngangen. Konsertene starter som regel klokka 1130. Informasjon om hvem som spiller henger i heisene. 

    Musikk er også helse, og med jevne mellomrom arrangeres det ”musikkvandring” i sykehuset. Ta kontakt med sykepleier på avdelinga dersom du er innlagt hos oss og ønsker besøk av musikerne våre. 

    Hvert år før jul arrangerer kulturseksjonen julemesse på plan 6 og 7 ved hovedinngangen.​​

    The parking by the emergency clinic is for emergency patients, those in labour, and those attending mammography.

    Due to environmental considerations, high traffic volume, and limited parking spaces, we recommend using public transport where possible.

    Parking Charges:

    07:00-21:00: 32 NOK per hour

    21:00-07:00: 7 NOK per hour

    Long-term guest parking:

    To achieve this price, payment/reservation must be made at the parking machine.

    Maximum daily charge 250 NOK

    Price from the 4th day onwards maximum 162 NOK.

    Price from the 8th day onwards maximum 113 NOK.

    Parking for disabled individuals is free both in reserved disabled spaces and in regular guest parking spaces.

    App

    Apcoa Flow is the app that should be used. Available in the App Store and Google Play Store. The Easy Park app can be used, but it incurs a 15% surcharge on the fee.

    UNN currently does not have designated parking for motorcycles for visitors or guests.

    Bicycle Parking:

    Visitors can use all bicycle parking around the hospital. If you want parking near the main entrance, it is most practical to use:

    • spaces on the bicycle rack between the clinical PET centre (green building)  and the university
    • the bicycle shed just north of the clinical PET centre (green building).

    The entrance to the Penguin Hotel at UNN Tromsø is through the hospital's main entrance at A6. You can check in at the hotel reception upon arrival. There is always someone available to welcome you. The hotel is open 24 hours a day.

    The maternity hotel is part of the Penguin Hotel. The rooms are equipped with changing tables. The maternity hotel has midwives available for added security for the new family.

    There is a TV and internet access in all hotel rooms.

    Meals

    Breakfast is included in the room rate. Lunch, dinner, and evening meals are available for purchase in the hotel restaurant according to the current opening hours for those who do not have all meals included.

    Parking

    Parking spaces are available for a fee in marked areas outside the hospital. We have limited parking available and encourage those who can to use public transport. Bus route 20 runs from Tromsø city centre to UNN, and the journey takes 10-15 minutes.

    Vardesenteret

    Vardesenteret er et samarbeid mellom UNN og Kreftforeningen, og er en møteplass for kreftsyke, pårørende og etterlatte. Her treffer du ansatte fra Kreftforeningen og UNN, samt frivillige og likemenn. 

    Vardesenteret er tilknyttet UNN i Breivika og befinner seg i E-fløya. For å komme dit må du først til plan 2, fløy D. Følg skiltene derfra. Er du usikker kan du spørre en frivillig sykehustvert som er kledd i rød vest.

    Trening for deg som har eller har hatt kreftsykdom

    Pusterommet ved UNN Tromsø er et trenings- og aktivitetssenter for kreftpasienter ved spesialisthelsetjenesten.  Her tilbys persontilpasset trening før, under og etter kreftbehandling.

    Transport

    The hospital is located at Stasjonsveien 61, approximately three kilometres north of the centre. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the centre.

    If you arrive in Narvik by the airport bus from Evenes, you can either walk or take a taxi to the hospital. The Health Express has a start and stop at the hospital on Furumoen. Remember that travel expenses must be agreed upon in advance with Patient Travel.

    The tunnel from the E6 (Furumotunellen) is the main access road to the hospital.

    There are established footpaths through Narvik Cemetery and up to the hospital, in addition to pavements along Stasjonsveien.

    Public Transport

    Several new bus services have been established to the new hospital on Furumoen.

    It is recommended to use the journey planner and search for routes to/from UNN Narvik. The information in the journey planner is always up to date.

    Patients and relatives who rely on a car to Furumoen can park in the public parking area outside the main entrance. Additionally, there are some public parking spaces outside the main entrance to Furumoen nursing home and outside the emergency reception/urgent care.

    Due to high demand, it is encouraged to use the bus to and from Furumoen. Good bus connections have been established by Reis Nordland; check the route planner.

    There are disabled parking spaces at the main entrance (maximum 4 hours), in the main parking area, at Furumoen nursing home, and at the emergency reception/urgent care.
    Remember to display the blue parking permit clearly in the front window.

    Park Nordic AS has an agreement with UNN regarding the operation and handling of parking complaints at Furumoen.

    The parking area is publicly and privately marked and operates as public parking spaces.

    The patient hotel is staffed on weekdays between 07:00 and 14:30. Check-in is at the reception in the main entrance. Outside the hotel’s opening hours, check-in is at the maternity department/gynaecological ward on the 3rd floor.

    Breakfast

    Breakfast is included in the stay and is served in the department café on the 3rd floor.

    It is possible to purchase food at Café Pingvin by the main entrance during opening hours.

    Additionally, there are 24-hour vending machines with a small selection of food and drinks.

    There is a TV and available WIFI in all hotel rooms.
