
Our hospital in Narvik
UNN Narvik is located in Furumoen, approximately three kilometre north of the city centre. The hospital serves as local hospital for the population in the Ofoten region around Narvik and parts of Mid-Troms.

It is as 30 minute walk from the city centre, or you can take a taxi or arrive with your own car. There is parking in front of the hospital. Remember to pay the parking fee.

The hospital is located at Stasjonsveien 61, approximately three kilometres north of the centre. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the centre.
If you arrive in Narvik by the airport bus from Evenes, you can either walk or take a taxi to the hospital. The Health Express has a start and stop at the hospital on Furumoen. Remember that travel expenses must be agreed upon in advance with Patient Travel.
The tunnel from the E6 (Furumotunellen) is the main access road to the hospital.
There are established footpaths through Narvik Cemetery and up to the hospital, in addition to pavements along Stasjonsveien.
Public Transport
Several new bus services have been established to the new hospital on Furumoen.
It is recommended to use the journey planner and search for routes to/from UNN Narvik. The information in the journey planner is always up to date.

2nd floor: Services for inpatients within mental health and addiction treatment.
3rd floor: Services for inpatients who are going to the following wards:
- Medical ward
- Orthopaedic/Surgical ward
- Maternity/Gynaecological ward
Patients and relatives who rely on a car to Furumoen can park in the public parking area outside the main entrance. Additionally, there are some public parking spaces outside the main entrance to Furumoen nursing home and outside the emergency reception/urgent care.
Due to high demand, it is encouraged to use the bus to and from Furumoen. Good bus connections have been established by Reis Nordland; check the route planner.

Disabled Parking
There are disabled parking spaces at the main entrance (maximum 4 hours), in the main parking area, at Furumoen nursing home, and at the emergency reception/urgent care.
Remember to display the blue parking permit clearly in the front window.
Parking Charges Every Day:
07:00-21:00: 32 NOK per hour
21:00-07:00: 7 NOK per hour
Long-term Guest Parking:
Maximum daily price 250 NOK. Price from the 4th day onwards is a maximum of 162 NOK. Price from the 8th day onwards is a maximum of 113 NOK.
It becomes cheaper the longer you park. If you pay by card and end your parking before the time is up, you can swipe your card to end the payment.
There are no special arrangements for inpatients or relatives who need to stay at the hospital for an extended period.
Motorcycle Parking
Currently, UNN does not have designated parking for motorcycles for visitors or guests.
Reserved Parking:
There are also parking spaces marked "Reserved for Staff". This parking is reserved solely for staff or partners with their own parking permit.

Complaints:
Park Nordic AS has an agreement with UNN regarding the operation and handling of parking complaints at Furumoen.
The parking area is publicly and privately marked and operates as public parking spaces.

Check-in
The patient hotel is staffed on weekdays between 07:00 and 14:30. Check-in is at the reception in the main entrance. Outside the hotel’s opening hours, check-in is at the maternity department/gynaecological ward on the 3rd floor.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the stay and is served in the department café on the 3rd floor.
It is possible to purchase food at Café Pingvin by the main entrance during opening hours.
Additionally, there are 24-hour vending machines with a small selection of food and drinks.

There is a TV and available WIFI in all hotel rooms.
